In 1959, the Wozniak & Cook families of Michigan City, Indiana opened General Rental, which served the community for over 54 years. In October of 2013, Kabelin Hardware Company purchased General Rental, then two years later in October of 2015, it purchased Grand Rental Station. Kabelin Hardware Company has been a locally owned family business since 1912 with the 5th generation of Kabelin family members currently operating the hardware and rental businesses.
